Counselling Staff
Molly Barber, MSW, RSW
Molly began work with CFS in May, 2005. She has a BA in Psychology
and a Master’s Degree in Social Work. She previously worked at
Counselling Services at the University of Regina and extensively
with both the public and separate school boards, where she did
individual and group counselling. Particular interests are
parenting, family counselling and working with adolescents.
Lorna Brothen, BSW, RSW
Lorna has worked with CFS since January 2003. Previous experience includes
working in the rural region in the areas of addictions, families at risk,
palliative care, and grief, as well as for Child Youth Mental
Health Services. Currently, Lorna works with couples, families,
individuals, and groups in the areas of communication, parenting,
mood and stress management, and grief. Lorna also manages the
Families First In-Home Support program.
Alison Gribbon, BSW, RSW
Alison has worked with CFS since January 2005.
Previous experience has included working at the YWCA with
women dealing with a variety of issues; high risk lifestyles often
being one of the concerns. Alison has also worked as a school
counsellor in a rural setting. Currently Alison works with youth,
families, individuals and groups in the areas of communication,
parenting, mood and stress management and grief. She provides
services for the Rapid Intervention for Family Treatment (RIFT).
Gary Kuntz, Psy.D. R.D. Psych.
Gary has worked with CFS since 2001 as counsellor and clinical supervisor for
the counselling program. Previously, he was assistant
professor/regional psychologist for the University of Manitoba and
the Nor-Man Regional Health Authority, counselling individuals,
families, and couples presenting with a variety of concerns,
developing group programs, consulting to health care providers,
including mental health providers, and providing in-service
training, public education and intern supervision.
Anne McGeough, BA, MSW, RSW
Anne has worked at Catholic Family Services since 1994 in a counselling
capacity. Anne works with individuals, families and couples who present diverse
concerns such as couple conflict and parenting issues. She has an
understanding of the challenges that families face such as financial
concerns, mental health issues or addictions. The focus of Anne’s
work is often with individuals who have children in the five to
twelve age ranges. Anne grew up in rural Saskatchewan and thus has a
strong grasp of the concerns of those living in rural Saskatchewan.
Anne each year facilitates groups for children who have experienced
parental separation or divorce. She also runs a group for children
who parents or close family members are or have been alcohol or drug
dependent.
Erin McKillop, BA, MEd (candidate)
Erin has degrees in psychology and counselling and is completing her thesis
for her program at the University of Saskatchewan. Erin has experience
working with individuals, couples and families experiencing a variety of
issues and needs. She is an experienced group educator and facilitator.
Erin coordinates and provides services for the RIFT AND RAPS programs and
supervises the Youth Development Program.
Coleen Popadynetz, BSW, RSW
Coleen has worked with CFS since 1997. Previous experience
includes facilitating groups, working with school related issues
for families, and assessing adolescent substance abuse problems.
Currently, Coleen works with couples, families and individuals,
particularly in addressing adolescent issues and parenting difficulties.
Coleen supervises the Family Support Program (In Home Support) and is also
accredited to administer the Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory (SASSI).
David Sax, MA (PSYCH), R. Psych.
David has worked with CFS as Executive Director since 1996. David has a
MA in Psychology with specialties in counselling, psychometrics and
child psychology. David has held previous positions with CFS as
senior counsellor/therapist from 1983 to 1991 and with BC Mental
Health Services as a therapist from 1991 to 1996. David experience has been
with couples, families, children and youth in a variety of areas. In
addition, David has worked in the areas of substance dependence,
school psychology, and program planning and development.
