The Young Parent support program provides services and mentoring to
teenage and young mothers and their children. Catholic Family Services has had a support program for young parents (21 & under) since 1984. "BABY FUN" is a new class that encourages young parents to continue positive participation in their children's lives. This group will incorporate: cooking, family literacy, infant massage, baby signing and parenting. The group will be broken down into four segments. Each segment will run over a three week period, meeting once a week and will have a two week break between. Parents can attend all four segments and newcomers can start at the beginning of any segment. The group activities are interactive and use song, story and play to enhance learning and bonding with baby.
There is no fee for this program. Dates: Thursdays Oct 6th & 13th, Nov. 3rd & 10th, Dec 8th & 15th, 2011, Jan 5th & 12th, 2012.
