Youth Mentoring Program

The Youth Mentoring Program matches youth ages 6-17, who are referred by the Ministry of Social Services, with an adult role model.  The youth and the adult spend time together developing a positive, health, trusting relationship that helps the youth to understand what a healthy relationship looks and feels like.

It's about fun!  The youth and the mentor engage in recreational activities like swimming, skating, Frisbee, football, library visits, and much more.  They spend one-on-one time together addressing the needs of the youth.  If there is a particular goal that the youth is working towards, the youth mentor will be there as an on-side adult to encourage them to achieve that goal and find ways to do it.
